What is single (private) pet cremation?
In a single private cremation, your pet is the only one in the chamber. This is different from communal or partitioned cremation, where several pets are cremated together and individual ashes cannot be guaranteed. Choosing a private cremation means the cremated remains returned to you belong to your pet alone — an assurance that matters deeply to most families.
You are welcome to be present throughout. Many families find that witnessing the process, and having the chance to say a final goodbye in person, brings a real sense of closure.
What's included
- Respectful pick-up of your pet from your home or the vet
- A floral arrangement and a quiet farewell space
- The private cremation itself, witnessed if you wish
- Complimentary urn and an official cremation certificate
- Optional bone picking, should you wish to personally inter your pet
How the farewell unfolds
Once your pet is in our care, we arrange a time that suits your family. On the day, you are received in a calm, private farewell hall where you can spend unhurried final moments together. After the ceremony, the cremation is carried out and the ashes are carefully collected, placed in your complimentary urn, and returned to you with the certificate.
Our advisors guide you at every step and explain your options clearly — there is no pressure, only support.
After the cremation
Many families choose to keep their pet close in a personalised keepsake, give them a permanent resting place at our freehold pet columbarium, or return their ashes to nature through a private sea scattering. A celebrant-led or religious farewell can also be arranged. Whatever feels right for your family, we will help you plan it.
